Young Patriotic Lieutenants (YPL) is a Community-Based Organisation (CBO) established in 2025 in the Coastal Region of Kenya. We are committed to empowering communities through the promotion of Culture and Heritage, advancing the Blue Economy, preventing Drug and Substance Abuse, and enhancing Civic Tech Awareness. Through education, advocacy, community engagement, and innovation, we strive to preserve cultural identity, support sustainable livelihoods, encourage responsible citizenship, and leverage technology to drive positive social change.

Our History
Established on 15th December 2025, Young Patriotic Lieutenants (YPL) is a Community-Based Organisation (CBO) based in Mvita, Mombasa County, Kenya, dedicated to driving sustainable community development through innovative and inclusive initiatives.
YPL was founded to preserve and promote Kenya's rich culture and heritage, advance sustainable blue economy initiatives, prevent drug and substance abuse, and strengthen civic technology awareness. Through community engagement, education, advocacy, strategic partnerships, and capacity-building programs, we empower individuals and communities to become active participants in creating a more inclusive, resilient, and prosperous society. Our pioneering founders include Tonny Mijondo, Kennedy Muuo, and Brodox George.
